Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in working with clients experiencing menopause and perimenopause. The ideal candidate understands the unique physical and emotional challenges that come with hormonal changes and is passionate about helping women navigate this life stage through tailored fitness programs, education, and holistic wellness support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and develop customized fitness plans addressing menopause-related symptoms (e.g., weight gain, muscle loss, fatigue, joint pain, mood changes).
- Deliver one-on-one or small group training sessions focusing on strength training, cardiovascular health, flexibility, and balance.
- Educate clients on the benefits of physical activity during menopause, including its impact on bone density, heart health, and mental well-being.
- Monitor progress and adapt programs based on client needs, goals, and symptom changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, nutritionists, or wellness coaches when needed.
- Provide motivation, accountability, and emotional support in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Stay up to date on current research and best practices related to women’s health and menopause.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent).
- Specialization or strong experience working with women 40+ and/or menopausal clients (e.g., Women's Fitness Specialist Certification).
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the hormonal changes associated with menopause.
- CPR/AED certified.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and encouraging coaching style.
Preferred:
- Experience with yoga, Pilates, or low-impact functional training.
- Background in nutrition or holistic health is a plus.
- Previous work with clients dealing with osteoporosis, pelvic floor issues, or joint pain.
