As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will be responsible for:
1. Notifying the Director of Care of any resident and/or family concerns.
2. Attending and actively participates in daily communication meetings
3. Providing feedback in the assessment of every resident and in the development of the Plan of Care.
4. Answering call bells when necessary.
5. Observing and reporting any resident changes in condition
6. Completing nursing documentation if applicable as per residence policies and guidelines.
7. Deals courteously with staff, residents, resident families and visitors.
8. Helping residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.
9. Striving to understand and respond to each resident with empathy, always remaining mindful of the resident’s unique communication patterns, history and basic human needs.
10. Assisting with monthly blood pressures and weights as assigned.
11. Providing emergency first aid/nursing care until appropriate medical care is available.
12. Assisting with resident admissions and discharges when required.
13. Assisting with any other duties as directed by the Director of Care.
*We are hiring day 7am to 3pm, evening 3pm to 9pm and 3pm to 11apm*
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
