Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including long-term care homes, retirement communities, and private homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through physical, emotional, and social support.
Responsibilities
● Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
● Support clients with mobility, including transferring and positioning.
● Provider companionship and emotional support to clients.
● Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
● Use judgment in carrying out instructions and recognize the need to seek supervisory assistance.
● Communicate and report all observations or concerns to the appropriate individual (as
necessary).
● Keep all patient information confidential.
● May require traveling from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.

● Valid driver license and access to a vehicle (an asset).
Must meet one of the following criteria:
● Graduate from a Personal Support Worker program which has been delivered by: Post-secondary institution registered with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; Board of Education; Not-for-Profit Organization.
● Graduate from a RN, RPN, or Practical Nurse program (domestic or international).
Qualifications
● Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (within 1 year) that is clear of any criminal history or record of the candidate
● Minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccination doses
● Valid TB skin test or chest x-ray (within 1 year)
● Current CPR level C or BLS (valid within 1 year of issue date) and First Aid Certificate (valid within 3 years of issue date)
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
● Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset
● Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience
● Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification
● Personal Support Worker Certificate (required)
● CPR Certification (required)
● First Aid Certification (required)
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
