Interested candidates for this evening, part time position, also has the option to be trained for daytime PCA, casual, for additional hours.
Permanent Part Time – Night Care Position
6:30pm-10:30pm
(It is the right of management to alter or change the hours of work as it deems necessary)
Start Date: Immediately
Qualifications
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Assist residents with preparing for bed.
· Assist with undressing.
· Taking off compression socks.
· Washing face and hands.
· Assisting with putting on night clothes.
· Assisting with any other bathroom prep.
· Putting residents to bed.
· Assist with snack in dining room.
· Respond to resident call bells promptly.
· Assist residents that require night care and sign off on log.
· PCA’s are to assist with night time snacks which are from 8-9pm. If residents want a snack at a later time throughout the night, they can come to the dining area.
· Regular hand washing and sanitizing should be used frequently.
· Be sure to always approach residents with a friendly attitude and be courteous.
· Foster an environment of engagement, encouragement and safeguard to ensure resident’s well-being is maintained. Particularly for those seniors who are vulnerable and require guidance/support.
· Assists in providing direction, guidance and instruction to Night Care PCA’s in training.
As per the collective agreement, Night Care Position is $18.00/hour.
