Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with proven administrative experience in a fast-paced business environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll operations and supporting management with administrative tasks. This individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Collect time sheets and input payroll information into payroll system
- Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems
- Employee onboarding
- Prepare, verify and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay
- Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration both manually and electronically into ERP databases
- Provide information on payroll matters
- Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to payroll
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Document company housing tracking and onboarding as it relates to payroll
- Maintaining and updating the training matrix for site specific training and company qualification
- Monitor and update field and shop trainings and on-site access up to date
- Entering and tracking of employee time into assigned projects in the ERP
- Reconcile ERP and Payroll System
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a service-based environment
- Administrative or Payroll diploma or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry—understanding of terminology, operations, or field processes (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with similar accounting software is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Administrative diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training or certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Clear and professional communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent command of the English language, including speaking, writing, and comprehension
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
