Our Team is Growing and Hiring a Patient Care Coordinator in the Bloor West Village area Community
Most of our patients consist of young professionals and young families. We love our patients, so we are looking for a person that not only cares, but has the best customer service ability possible. You must have excellent attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and are able to multi-task and ensure efficiency.
We utilize Dentrix in our office, so a person with Dentrix knowledge is preferred but not necessary. You must have a cheery, willing to contribute personality, and a positive attitude.
Patient Care Coordinator Duties:
·Schedules and confirms patient appointments, contacts patients through phone, email, text for their hygiene and unscheduled treatments to fill in schedule gaps
·Responsible for answering incoming calls to include, new patient calls, emergencies, scheduled patient appointments, requesting records, and follow up
·Ensures patient records are up to date and accurate
·Communicates with patients regarding their treatment, discusses payment plans, and oversees their insurance estimates inclusive of any information required from the insurance companies
·Responsible for sending claims to insurance companies, educating patients about their insurance benefits, and collecting payments
·Follows office procedures and take up general office duties and other duties as required
·Develops and maintains doctor/hygienist schedule to meet practice goals
·Collaborates with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience
Qualifications:
·2 or more years of dental administrative assistant/front office experience, preferably in a dental or medical setting and MUST have a high school diploma
·MUST be willing to work Monday-Friday (note must be available for evenings and 2-3 Saturdays per month) Approx 32-40 hrs/week
·Computer proficiency including microsoft office suite and the ability to learn new programs (dentrix experience an asset)
·Great communication skills (verbal and written)
·Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise of good/sound judgment
·Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to accomplish job responsibilities
·Ability to perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail, and has the ability to be flexible
