Le Beau is looking for a Pastry Cook to help create our signature croissants and baked goods for our customers.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a schedule of Wednesday to Sunday. Full availability is required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Main responsibilities:
- Follow recipes accurately, measuring and weighing all ingredients precisely.
- Prepare fillings, creams, and other components for baked goods.
- Assemble a variety of products, including sandwiches and laminated dough items.
- Bake cookies and assist with chocolate production, following recipes and standards.
- Bake a range of items at correct temperatures to achieve proper texture, flavor, and appearance.
- Decorate and present baked goods in an attractive way.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and taste standards.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, keeping tools clean and in good condition.
- Work closely with the team to meet production needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare special orders or large batches for events or wholesale customers as required.
- Handle and store ingredients properly, ensuring recipe accuracy through precise measurement and weighing.
Requirements:
- Must have at minimum of 2-years of experience working as a pastry cook, baker or related field.
- Must have demonstrated experience in regard to baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets and pies.
- College diploma or certification in baking and pastry arts and/or Red Seal or equivalent certification is considered to be an asset.
- Must be a team player and have the proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-pace environment.
- Able to lift up to 25KG of equipment and ingredients.
- Good to have relevant experience related to French pastry making.
