Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our small, fast paced but fun team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen, making croissants and pastries. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Prepare, bake, and package a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and organized, adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Most importantly the person should be fast working, efficient, self-starter, obsessed with cleanliness and reliable.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in an artisan bakery or pastry shop, specially with croissants
- Need at least 1 year baker/pastry Cook experience at a commercial bakery/Pastry shop
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking methods, and cake decorating skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the team.
- Ability to work flexible hours or early mornings, including weekends and holidays as and if needed.
