Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes to meet customer specifications while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation, and prepare A variety of baked goods and pastries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and cake decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Design and decorate cakes for various occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and special events.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their vision and preferences for cake designs.
- Prepare pastries and baked goods in accordance with recipes and food safety standards.
- Ensure all products are decorated to the highest quality standards, utilizing various techniques such as piping, fondant application, and airbrushing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Package finished products attractively for sale or delivery.
- Assist in inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating is essential; restaurant or bakery experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods within the food industry.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Previous kitchen experience is a plus, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Valid Food Safe certification

You will need to provide your own accommodation, and vehicle. You MUST be able to work legally in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
