Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
- Package finished products for display or sale, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries about dessert options.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety practices.
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques and pastry presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
