Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a Parts Technician at our Fredericton (Hanwell) location.
This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a can-do attitude in the workplace. The Parts Technician or Parts Counter Person function involves working in the Parts Department, handling various duties, assisting in the stocking of shelves, inventory, delivery and pickup of parts, and organizing parts storage. This is a physically demanding position that requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This role has excellent opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Sell, store, and supply parts to customers at the counter, via telephone and walk-in, and mechanics in the shop
- Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests
- Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display
- Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department
- Willing to carry out a variety of daily duties
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s license
- Previous dealership Parts experience preferred
- Heavy-duty parts knowledge
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment
- Able to learn new skills, some computer experience is an asset
Schedule
- 8/9-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
