HC Transport is a family run company. We are offering a full time permanent parts position. This individual must be extremely organized, be able to work independently in a fast paced environment and be available to work Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays. Responsibilities
- Create and Monitor Completion of Work Orders
- All parts purchases need purchase order number and approval.
- Daily Monitoring of shop employee jobs and time sheets.
- Work closely with Shop staff to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed.
- Organize parts room to provide easier access to required materials.
- Establish and maintain an Inventory Management System.
- Daily reporting to be discussed with Management.
- Examine incoming parts or material shipments and compare with records to verify accuracy of order.
- Inspect and verify incoming parts against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damage goods
- Ensure all preventative maintenance being performed on all units and equipment.
- Input Work Order data into maintenance records.
- Receive, direct and answer telephone/email inquiries for the Parts Department
- Order or research parts or inventory requested/needed - looking for the best price
- Lifting over 50Lbs is required
- Light cleaning duties within parts
- Maintains clean and orderly work area
- Flexible to perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Must have knowledge of Transport Trucks and log trailers - mechanically inclined
- Be physically fit to lift, bend and work with heavy vehicle components
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, oral and written with ability to communicate persuasively
- Accountable and responsible - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
Knowledge
- Heavy Duty Equipment knowledge and/or experience.
- Previous customer service experience.is an asset, but not a necessity.
- Know how to operate a Forklift and or Loader is a benefit.
- Valid Drivers Licence and own transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
