Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Person to join our team. This role is essential in managing the inventory of automotive parts and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in automotive repair, and the ability to effectively negotiate and fulfill orders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of automotive parts, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding parts, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Process orders efficiently, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking.
- Communicate effectively with both customers and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle cashiering duties, including processing payments and managing transactions.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for parts while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity and safety.
- Collaborate with sales management to support dealership operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of sales management principles related to automotive parts is an advantage.
- Proficiency in negotiating with vendors and suppliers for optimal outcomes.
