Part Time Youth Worker – My Homes
The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZrequires a Youth Worker interested in PartTime shifts for My Homes – YouthHousing Program within EGADZ. (Shift Work Is Required – Daytime/Evenings/Weekends/AwakeOvernights).
EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provideservices for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage andsupport them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
The My Homes Residential Program seeks to providesupport services for hard to serve youth who have been involved in at risk& high-risk lifestyles. The ideal candidates are non-judgmental,compassionate and are able to build trusting relationships with youth.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondaryeducation in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combinationof both
- Demonstrateand practice a healthy lifestyle
- Abilityto develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff andpartnering agencies while maintaining strict confidentiality and appropriateboundaries
- Abilityto express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
- Workingknowledge of computers/windows
- Knowledgeof Indigenous cultures and issues
- A goodunderstanding of EGADZ and our mission
- Trainingin CPR and ASIST (ASIST training within the first 6 months of employment)
- Must havea valid driver’s license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver'sAbstract is Required (Within 3 Months).
- Criminalrecords Check (Within 6 Months)
- Abilityto work shift work is a must-days/evenings/nights as well as weekends
Starting Wage $23.10
