The cashier position is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers and for maintaining excellent store operating standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintains a balanced float while on shift and followed by counting cash drawer at the end of shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies
- Initiates opportunities for additional sales
- Faces and displays merchandise
- Ensures products are scanning correctly and advises management of any discrepancies
- Demonstrates consistent growth in product knowledge and product changes
- Handles products and operates equipment according to regulations and company policies and procedures
- Demonstrates a high level of professional and ethical standards by adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Participates in maintaining a prosperous and enjoyable work environment for all staff
- Assists in receiving and storing products according to company policy
- Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of all sales and related information for Urban Cellars
We want our team members to have:
- Previous cashier experience in a fast paced environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience working in the beverage or grocery retail industry
- Good math and problem solving skills
- Must have open availability and the flexibility to work nights and weekends if required
Requirements:
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have Serving it Right certificate
- Must be able to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time without an issue
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis without issue

Experience:
- Cashiering: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Serve It Right Saskatchewan (required)
