Here is what you will be doing each day:

We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as a Banquets Server. As a Banquets Server, you will play a vital role in creating an unparalleled guest experience. Your mission will be to anticipate and promptly fulfill every need, exceeding expectations and leaving a lasting impression. You will be responsible to set up the Event space and serve food and/or beverage in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner according to Crescent high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


    • Set up event space as instructed by the Catering Sales Manager, Food & Beverage Leadership to include glassware, tables, chairs, buffet, bars, audio visual.

    • Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guests and hotel expectations.

    • Assist with on-boarding of new associates as scheduled.

    • Serve the food and/or beverage in order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the event. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.

    • Abide by all Provincial, Federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages including WCB regulations.

    • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.

    • Once the event is complete, reset the event space according to F&B leadership specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.

    • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis as required.

    • Perform any other duties as required in both restaurant and event space.

    • Attending departmental training sessions, departmental meetings as assigned.

    • Standing alert and ready, greeting, and serving guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

    • Always maintain the cleanliness of the event space including back of house areas.

    • Alert leadership of any service, food, or beverage deficiencies.

    • Serving Alcohol responsibly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
