Painter

Overview
We are seeking a semi skilled painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a desire to deliver quality finishing and strive to learn new skills. This role involves both commercial and residential painting projects, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality. The Painter will be responsible for assisting with painting tasks efficiently with direction through effective communication and demonstration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles equipment and materials.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Restore and maintain existing finishes on various structures and surfaces.
• Read and interpret schematics is beneficial .
• Utilize hand tools and rigging equipment safely to complete tasks effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.

Experience

• Some experience in residential and commercial painting or related fields is neccessary.
• Working at heights beneficial.
• Whimis beneficial.
• Comfortable on ladders.
• Strong time management skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to drive to job sites and have a reliable vehicle.
• Job radius up to 1-1/2 hours of uxbridge Ontario
• Be able to work in all conditions.
• Be physically strong and able to perform a variety of tasks .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
