Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high standard of finish in all projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Rig and build scaffolding as necessary for high or hard-to-reach areas.
- Utilize power tools effectively for various tasks including drywall installation and repair.
- Restore surfaces by repairing damage and applying appropriate finishes.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project details and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential and commercial painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality workmanship.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, standing for long periods, and working at heights.
