Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is looking for an Overnight Cleaner to join our hardworking and friendly team in Ucluelet, BC. Starting at 11:00 pm, this role is all about keeping the heart of the resort fresh, welcoming, and ready for the next day.
You’ll clean and care for key spaces overnight, including the restaurant, lounge, staff areas, hallways, fitness room, spa, lobby, and public washrooms. This is an active role with lots of variety, perfect for someone who takes pride in leaving spaces spotless and enjoys working independently.
This is a great fit for someone who:
- Works well independently and can stay motivated on a night shift
- Takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and ready for use
- Is dependable, detail-oriented, and organized
- Can communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers
- Is comfortable with physical work and moving between different tasks
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant, lounge, lobby, spa, fitness room, public washrooms, staff washrooms, and hallways
- Ensuring all assigned areas are stocked with supplies and ready for the next day
- Reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Following safety guidelines when using cleaning products and equipment
- Upholding resort hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards
Requirements:
- Comfortable lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and stand or walk for long periods
- A team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
- Good English language skills for communication and task coordination
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stay focused and work independently through the night shift
