Saturday Overnight and Sunday Overnight 9pm-7am
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those with specific health challenges. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for those under your care.
Duties
- Provide patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with dementia care by implementing strategies to enhance memory recall and reduce confusion.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff or hospice care teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills and a patient demeanor are essential for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments or nursing home settings is beneficial.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy and respect for the dignity of all clients.
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certification related to caregiving practices.
