Our client is a fortune 500 company looking for a Medical Representative who will provide functions such as: First Aid to injured or ill employees and proactively analyze tasks for potential safety issues.
Location: Barrhaven, ON
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4 months with strong possibility of extension.
Working hours:
Shift 1: 6 pm – 4:30am Sunday to Wednesday
OR
Shift 2: 6pm – 4:30am Wednesday to Saturday
Job Responsibilities
- Provide triage, first-and and or referral to outside medical provider, if required.
- Maintain all records of treatment given to employees.
- Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock and clean equipment used in the treatment of associates.
- Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and senior leadership team.
- Provide analysis of all onsite incidents on a monthly basis including recommendations on how to reduce the risk and severity of injuries.
- Walking around the job site to speak to employees and managers to help identify safety concerns and risks.
- Initiate and maintain Worker’s Compensation cases when applicable.
- Update the communication board with medical and safety tips.
- Attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site, either within a group setting at New Hire Orientation or through one-on-one interaction.
Qualifications:
- Valid EMT, PCP, RN, or RPN credentials in the province you will be practicing in.
- Must have a valid CPR course at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (Canadian Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (Canadian Red Cross).
- Ability to communicate safety needs at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills: analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- 2 + years of experience as a full time EMT/Paramedic/RPN responding to emergency calls.
