The Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) provides value to its members through active advocacy, connecting leaders and creating opportunity. The Chamber is the voice of business in Halton Hills and advocates at the local, regional, provincial and federal levels on behalf of 450 local businesses.
Position Title: Office & Special Projects Lead
Reports to: CEO
Location: 205-232A Guelph St., Georgetown, Ontario
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $45,000 - 52,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience

About the Role
We’re looking for an organized individual with solid communication and and basic bookkeeping skills, a good eye for detail, and a flexible, team-focused mindset. This position is a 50/50 split between managing day-to-day office operations and supporting our year-round event calendar and office special projects.
You’ll be the first point of contact for our members and visitors, and a vital administrative support to the CEO in advancing our mission to support local business.
Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the Halton Hills Chamber office, supporting financial transactions, member services, and event planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Operations (approx. 50%)
- Oversee daily office functions and serve as the main point of contact for members, visitors, and vendors
- Maintain internal procedures to keep things running smoothly
- Handle member inquiries, trade certificates, mail, deposits, and CRM data entry
- Support financial transactions and basic bookkeeping (AR, reconciliations, reporting to external bookkeeper)
Event & Special Project Support (approx. 50%)
- Assist and ultimately lead the planning and delivery of ~20 Chamber events per year (monthly networking, golf tournament, business awards, etc)
- Coordinate event logistics in the CRM system
- Support funding applications and track reporting requirements
- Lead special projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in administration, customer service, or office management
- Some corporate based event planning experience and project coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- CRM experience an asset
- Strong English written and verbal communication
- Organized, adaptable, and proactive
- Able to take direction and run with it, balancing independence with collaboration
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, or related field is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required – there is no public transit in Halton Hills, and travel to off-site events is expected
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM *there is some flexibility with start and end times
- Some early mornings or evenings for events - generally 1-2 per month
- Hybrid model: Minimum 3 days/week in-office (Georgetown)
