Job Title: Night Equipment Operator
Primary Objective:
Responsible for utilizing equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, track dozers, and specialized material processing equipment (screeners and material stacking conveyors), engaged in the screening, blending and production of bulk topsoil products as well as their loading and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the dispatch/order desk to receive job orders and product specifications; plan for material production and execute product distribution.
- Organize and maintain an obstructive-free work area to maintain stockpiles in an organized manner.
- Safely operate and maintain all machinery/equipment by performing pre-operational checks, verify fluid levels, grease daily, perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Observe all equipment gauges and meters to ensure the correct operation of machinery.
- Fill out Daily Machine check list.
- Ensure machine is clean.
- Must be able to work within a 55 km radius from Bowes Road.
- Travel to all sites may be required on occasion, including but not limited to the west end of the GTA, out of the Heritage, Mississauga, and Caledon sites.
- Obey by all company policies and procedures.
Working Hours:
- Regular working hours: Sunday-Thursday 10:00 pm-8:00am = may be required to start earlier or stay later. This also includes working during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, working salt in the winter season, during snow events.
- Overtime required during peak periods and when workload is needed.

- Exercise regular visual concentration in the use of all equipment and tools, (especially conveyor belts and rollers).
- Maintain continuous focus especially during moving and operating equipment as the sites are for dropping off waste for deliveries and pickups.
- Sustain working outdoors and exposure to extreme climate temperatures (hot, dry, windy, rainy, cold, wet).
