The Fickle Fig Farm Market is looking for professional and dedicated team players with baking and technical skills to join our expanding team. We are looking for individuals available full time with some baking experience.
As a baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will work under our head baker, and will be responsible for ensuring preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. We are looking for a baker who is looking to expand their career, with minimal training, however open to newer candidates who want to learn the trade, but have some baking experience.
The position entails starting and finishing a daily rotation of bread, including sourdough, multigrain, baguettes, brioche, focaccia, and light rye loaves, as well as baking croissants, & Danish's, and their fillings. Other responsibilities include prepping fresh pizza dough and brioche buns, and baking off the daily scones, cinnamon buns, muffins, and preparing the doughs and batter for these.
The desired candidate is looking to perfect our retail and kitchen prep selection of baked goods, adding new items as comfortability increases. This is a full time position, but we are flexible to the schedule (same two days off each week - up to you). The job is suitable for someone looking to step into their career, and share their experience in a high volume bakery with the desire to learn. Shifts are 8 hours long, and between the hours of 6pm and 5am. Your shift should be completed by 5am, as our first delivery goes out shortly after. The hours are otherwise flexible.

Skills and experience required:
-At least some experience in baking, credit due for field related education.

-Be a problem solver.
Successful candidates must complete a paid probationary period of three months.

Wage starting at $22/hr, and more for the right candidate looking to take on more responsibility, with potential for raises + tips. Tips are about $4-5/hr.
