At Good Folk, we’re redefining Banff’s dining experience with warm hospitality, elevated comfort food crafted from locally sourced ingredients, and a curated selection of off-the-beaten-path wines and cocktails that celebrate the unique and unexpected.
We’re looking for passionate, experienced servers who love food, wine, and genuine guest connection to help deliver memorable dining moments in a casual yet refined atmosphere. As a Elevated Dining Server, you’ll do more than take orders—you’ll be the face of our restaurant. You’ll welcome guests with warmth, guide them through our seasonal, thoughtful menu, offer insightful wine pairings, and deliver intuitive, attentive service that turns each meal into a memorable experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set the tone with a warm, welcoming presence and attentive service
- Prepare the dining room for service, ensuring all tables meet fine dining standards
- Guide guests through the menu, highlighting seasonal dishes and local ingredients
- Recommend and pair wines confidently, with strong knowledge of lesser-known varietals
- Communicate dietary needs and allergies clearly to the kitchen
- Ensure food and beverages are served with precision, timing, and care
- Handle billing and payments with professionalism and accuracy
- Enforce Alberta liquor legislation and responsible service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Work safely. Obey all health and safety policies and procedures and report injuries and hazards immediately.
- Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest and business needs.
- Previous experience in fine dining or elevated service preferred.
- ProServe certification (required)
- Strong wine knowledge, including pairing principles and storytelling ability
- A passion for local food, thoughtful ingredients, and memorable service
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- A team-oriented attitude and desire to grow
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
