Mill Maintenance Mechanic

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Mill Maintenance Mechanic for our gypsum plant in Hagersville, ON! This is a permanent position on the day shift, working a 4x 10-hour schedule and every 5th weekend with on-call responsibilities.
Position Description:
- Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematic and drawings to determine work procedures.
- Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs.
- Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.
- Proficient mechanical understanding.
- General welding and fabrication knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of a preventative maintenance program.
Qualifications:
- Millwright certification is preferred, however extensive experience and technical expertise with a proven track record of safe operations and willingness to complete a Millwright apprenticeship in the plant may be considered.
- Strong organization and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective and respectful communication skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors year-round; weekend work and on-call rotation required from time to time
- A track record of great work performance, attendance, and safety behaviors.
