Medical Office Administrator for an Ophthalmology office located at 855 Dieppe Blvd ( Atlantic Vision )
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant/ Receptionist. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, all administrative tasks, and delivering excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The position will start ASAP.
Responsibilities of the MOA:
- Office Management
- Oversee daily operations of the practice for smooth workflow.
- Manage appointment scheduling for consultations, follow ups.
- Must have excellent phone etiquette.
- Facilitate communication between surgeon and patients ensuring patients are informed of all treatment plans.
Data Management:
- Maintain and update patients records, all communication with patient, ensuring accuracy of medical history, treatment plans and surgical outcomes.
- Manage electronic health records such as filing and data entry.
- Ensure practice adheres to healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA for patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical office admin is also preferred but not mandatory as we will include training.
- Bilingualism is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.
Compensation:
- Salary: 18 - 20$/ hour - 40 hours/week
- Vacation: 3-4 weeks / year (all Paid)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
