The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program prepares students for careers in medical clinics, hospitals, and healthcare offices by combining administrative skills with healthcare knowledge.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and supportive Medical Office Assistant Instructor to help students gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in healthcare administration. You will play a key role in delivering course material, mentoring students, and preparing them for their practicum and future careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core MOA subjects such as medical terminology, clinical procedures, billing and coding, scheduling, EMR systems, and office administration
- Deliver engaging lessons in person and/or online
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and practical exercises
- Provide timely feedback and academic support
- Help students prepare for practicum placements and entry into the healthcare field
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff to support student success
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification as a Medical Office Assistant or related field
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of medical office procedures and terminology
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and office software
- Previous teaching or training experience is an asset (but not required)0
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a supportive learning environment
- Comfortable using digital platforms (Zoom, Google Drive, Moodle, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 20 per week

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
