JBS Equipment is a rapidly growing manufacturing company located in beautiful Mission, BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented Trailer Assembler to join our manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various components of trailers according to specifications, ensuring high-quality efficiency in production.
Most of the work involves installing hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, along with the general final assembly of gearboxes, components, and other bolt-on items.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand assembly requirements
- Assemble trailer components, including frames, axles, suspension systems, walls, bulkheads, extensions, and flooring
- Install electrical systems, lighting, and brake components according to specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fasten, weld, and secure trailer parts
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications
- Identify and report any defects or issues in parts or assembled units
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to optimize the assembly process and meet production targets
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Document completed work instructions and maintain accurate records of assemblies
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in assembling mechanical products or their equivalent
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions
- Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
- Must have required tools and equipment outlined in the JBS Equipment Tool List
- Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic components
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
