Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
- Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions regarding products.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs for restocking to management.
- Adhere to all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department.
Skills
- Proven experience in meat cutting or as a butcher within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proficient in food handling techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
