Could you be the full-time Material Expeditor in Etobicoke we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside proactive and solution-driven teammates.
You’ll ensure the seamless delivery of goods at the right time, quantity, and place to meet Alstom’s needs, making a direct impact on the success of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Logistics, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Operations), manage supplier relationships, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of material planning and supplier performance management, but also risk mitigation and delivery crisis resolution.
We’ll look to you for:
Communicating material planning documents to suppliers and ensuring timely confirmations
Analyzing supplier responses to anticipate risks and impacts on production/service projects
Setting up recovery actions for prioritized risks
Organizing regular reviews with suppliers to monitor delivery performance
Collaborating with Material Planning Management to validate supplier performance and define action plans
Contributing to supplier capacity assessments and new business risk mitigation plans
Managing material availability and addressing missing parts
Maintaining accurate records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Coordinating with various departments to resolve supplier-related issues
Participating in special projects and assignments as required

High school graduate or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
3+ years of experience in material planning or expediting
ERP knowledge (SAP preferred)
Understanding of materials requirements planning and inventory management techniques
Experience in supplier delivery performance management
Knowledge of transport, distribution, and supply chain information systems
Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Agility and resilience in dynamic environments
