What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager:
You will be responsible for the creating the marketing material for Southland Co-op and playing a lead role in the many marketing activities of the Co-op, across locations and commodity lines.
You will be responsible for planning and executing strategic and analytical marketing, brand and design, internal and external communication, social media, internet and website management, advertising, promotions and campaigns as well as market trends.
You will engage with all department managers to determine marketing and sales initiatives, including promotions and campaigns.
You will assist with developing and executing community relations strategies to engage the local communities in the efforts of Southland Co-op to be an active participant in the community and support local initiatives. This includes assisting with planning and budgeting community events, community campaigns, donations and sponsorships as well as any others that may be relevant to the local communities.
You will establish short-term strategies, goals and objectives in alignment with Southland's strategic plan.
You will be responsible for managing allocated budget.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:
- You have post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in business with a preference in marketing, however, we welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education.
- You have 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- You are a positive, approachable and motivated individual with a drive to learn.
- You have professional, people-first, guest experience skills.
- You have strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
- You have quality communication skills and commitment to ongoing development in the industry.
- You have a valid driver’s license and proficiency with Canva, Excel and Microsoft Office.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. We encourage candidates with a blend of relevant experience and/or education to apply. The role involves travel between locations within our trading area, as well as occasional travel outside the trading area for business needs, as required. Participation in community events and promotional activities will require occasional time outside of normal business hours.
