Job Description
THE POSITION:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that project teams attain optimal reimbursement for our client’s products; the core responsibilities will include leading project teams that develop and leverage evidence (clinical, economic, and humanistic) to demonstrate the value of treatments to Canadian payers. This position is responsible for leading the execution of our clients’ national, provincial, and private strategic market access plans to achieve timely reimbursement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Leading project teams on submissions to the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), Institut National d'Excellence en Santé et Services Sociaux (INESSS), the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), provincial agencies/programs, and private payers.
- Managing the submission process start to finish including creating detailed workplans, liaising with the client including cross-functional support, handling all touchpoints with health technology assessment (HTA) organizations, and managing pull-through processes.
- Coordinating across internal workstreams to ensure strategic consistency and that project timelines are met.
- Conducting background research to support submission strategy and submission dossier components.
- Developing clinical summaries/clinical evidence templates, budget impact analyses, and all other required submission components for HTA filings to CADTH and INESSS, provincial payers (drug plans and cancer agencies) and private drug plans.
- Preparing slide decks and attending meetings with CADTH/INESSS, public drug programs, private payers, the pCPA and advisory boards.
- Interviewing key opinion leader clinicians regarding the standards of care in treating their patients to attain strategic insights to optimize product reimbursement.
- Preparing for and supporting the facilitation of advisory boards with ex-payers, and in some cases with clinicians.
- Monitoring and analyzing the access and reimbursement landscape in Canada and updating deliverables based on market developments.
- Contributing to research efforts undertaken by the EVERSANA team to publish on issues of pharmaceutical policy in Canada.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:
- Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
- Hours (37.5 hours per week, regular business hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday EST)

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Education: Advanced degree (master’s) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, economics, business administration or pharmacy
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry market access experience
- Understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, the HTA process, private and public payers.
- Knowledge of the Canadian pricing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be part of project teams to support our clients’ product reimbursement and formulary listing goals.
- Strong multitasking, organization, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing customer needs/demands and to environment changes.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and capacity to manage conflict constructively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Language: Advanced level English proficiency
- Technology/Equipment: in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, Excel in particular
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Doctorate in health services research, public health, epidemiology, economics, business administration or pharmacy is an asset
- Knowledge of pharmacoeconomic is an asset.
- Language: reading, writing, and communicating/good knowledge in French is an asset.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
Additional Information
EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the Canada. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
