In this role, you will work with medical devices used in cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technologies. Our manufacturing technicians assemble, test, inspect, and package medical tubing sets that are shipped to hospitals and clinics worldwide. You will apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a medical device manufacturing setting while working hygienically in an ISO Level 7-certified cleanroom.
We are seeking multiple motivated team members who are eager to gain hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing within a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and comfortable working with small parts and fine details. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a diverse team while maintaining focus in a busy, dynamic setting.
We are hiring contract employees who can commit to working Monday to Friday evening shifts (2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. or 3 p.m.-11;30 p.m.) and/or overnight shifts (10 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.). Shift hours may be adjusted based on business needs. Opportunities for extra hours may be available after completing the initial training period.
The duties and responsibilities of the position are the following:
- Follow instructions for measuring, manual assembly, robotic automated assembly, testing, inspection, and packaging of medical devices.
- Use simple manual tools or fixtures to aid in the manipulation of small parts.
- Load/unload and operate machinery used in robotic automated production.
- Work in a controlled environment (clean room) while wearing full PPE.
- Complete documentation neatly and according to protocol.
- Demonstrate excellent understanding and adherence to hygiene and cleanliness requirements.
- Work on self-directed tasks within a collaborative team environment.
- Other duties as assigned or determined.
Qualifications:
- Minimum post-secondary diploma or equivalent.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Able to use technical documents, tools, fixtures, and test equipment (after training).
- Experience in a laboratory setting is an asset.
- Recreational or professional experience working with small parts/tools is an asset.
