Join Our Team as Manager, Systems & Reporting!
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Operations & Reporting, you'll be a key leader in the Office of the Registrar (OTR). You'll oversee the Systems, Reporting, and Data Integrity teams, driving process and system improvements to enhance student and staff experiences. Your role includes managing OTR initiatives, collaborating on ITS and PMO projects, and ensuring accurate reporting to the Government of Alberta.
As a champion of business process improvement, you'll identify system needs, evaluate technical solutions, and recommend new technologies to support SAIT’s strategic goals. You'll lead by example, coaching and guiding your team, and ensuring quality assurance measures are in place.

The Role
- Operational Management and BA Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of 7 staff members in Business Analyst and Data Integrity teams, including hiring, supervision, and performance management.
- Ensure staff training, support, and professional development.
- Develop and implement procedures, guidelines, and governance in consultation with the Associate Registrar.
- Lead governance documentation for Business Analyst team.
- Act as Associate Registrar, Operations & Reporting, when needed.
- Transition functional tasks to operational tasks with internal teams.
- Provide technical leadership to Systems, Reporting, and Data Integrity teams.
- Promote data-informed decision-making through operational reporting initiatives.
Operational and Institutional Project Management and Reporting- Support ITS/PCIO projects intersecting with OTR, including resource allocation and delegation.
- Align ITS/PCIO project priorities with Business Analyst team and OTR initiatives.
- Ensure sustainment and maintenance plans post-project completion.
- Contribute to OTR leadership meetings, updating on project statuses.
- Communicate OTR project enhancements through presentations and updates.
Institutional Strategic Alignment- Align vision, strategy, and implementation with SAIT’s 5-year strategic plan.
- Provide leadership that fosters communication, respect, and teamwork.
- Manage employees through hiring, training, mentoring, performance development, and offboarding.
- Make EDI-focused decisions.
- Evaluate technical solutions within the student information system (Banner).
- Recommend technologies supporting strategic plans.
- Make data-informed decisions for task prioritization and quality assurance.
- Implement and support change effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized educational institute or equivalent experience
- 5 years related post-secondary experience
- 2 years customer service experience or equivalent experience
- Master's degree from a recognized educational institute preferred
- A minimum, of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a unionized environment, preferred.
- PMP, CBAP any relevant professional designations or certifications preferred
Skills Required
- Functional Lead Experience: Administered Banner Student module or similar student information system, preferably in a Registrar's Office.
- Web Systems Proficiency: Skilled in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Curriculum Administration: Experienced in curriculum logistics, administration, and transfer articulation systems.
- Effective Communication: Able to communicate patiently and effectively with diverse individuals, including handling difficult situations.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong problem-solving, needs analysis, and organizational abilities. Capable of setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and working independently with good judgment and initiative.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Power BI, or similar software.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
