About the Position
- We are searching for a permanent Manager, Internal Communications to join our Learning and Engagement team.
- The starting salary will be determined based on a combination of skills, education, and experience. The salary range is $82,300 – $113,200 per year.

Your strengths in writing, influencing, and navigating sensitive or complex topics will help ensure communication across the organization is consistent, strategic, and impactful. You’ll lead a high-performing team and partner with leaders across the business to deliver campaigns and communications that support our people through change and bring clarity to corporate updates and strategic initiatives.
You’ll oversee key internal channels like newsletters, emails, intranet, and employee events. You will use a variety of tools and approaches to tailor messages to different audiences. From advising leaders on communication strategies to developing campaigns that build engagement and trust, you’ll be a critical part of creating a connected employee experience.

The Manager, Internal Communications will focus on ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with Pacific Blue Cross’ mission, values, and strategic goals through clear, timely, and strategic internal communications.
In this role, you will develop and implement enterprise-wide internal communications strategies that support company-wide initiatives and enhance employee understanding and engagement.
This role works closely with executive and departmental leaders to shape and deliver messaging around confidential, complex, or sensitive topics, supporting organizational change and business priorities.
You will oversee and guide the creation of internal content and campaigns, including emails, newsletters, speaking notes, intranet articles, and materials for employee events.
In this role, you will provide coaching and direction while overseeing the development of communication plans tailored to various internal audiences.
This role monitors the effectiveness of internal communication efforts, using feedback and measurement tools to refine strategies and maximize impact.
You will collaborate with Human Resources and organizational leaders to ensure communication planning supports employee experience, union negotiations, and change management efforts.
You will also serve as a strategic advisor on communications risks, ensuring clarity and consistency across all internal channels and navigating organizational priorities with professionalism and discretion.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of related experience in internal communications.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, advise, and build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and change management skills.
It’s preferred and considered an asset if you have:
- Experience working in the healthcare or benefits insurance industry.
- Experience working within a transitional company and/or rapidly changing environment.
