Manager, FAM Program
The Manager, FAM Program will be accountable for the successful delivery of the annual Destination Expert (DE) Familiarization (FAM) program. They will be responsible for ensuring that FAMs are negotiated within budget, uploaded on time (according to internal guidelines), and that all post-FAM deliverables are completed and submitted. The Manager will also provide project management oversight and ad hoc support for FAM-related initiatives, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure program excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Overall FAM Execution for All Regions:
Trip Arrangements:
- Land: Collaborate with key partners (DMCs, suppliers, Tourism Boards) to secure and confirm FAM arrangements aligned with program goals and budget.
- Air: Coordinate with KT Air to provide approval and support for flight arrangements prior to ticket issuance.
- Objective Setting: Align FAM objectives across departments, ensuring that program goals, learning outcomes, and regional priorities are clearly communicated and met.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for participating DEs. Facilitating pre-FAM briefings, reviewing travel logistics, setting expectations, and answering queries.
Post-Trip Responsibilities:
- Confirm timely submission of Hotel & Service Inspection Forms by DEs.
- Schedule and coordinate FAM debrief presentations and post-trip meetings with the Product team.
- Maintain and update tracking lists for hotel and service inspections.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoice submission from DMCs and external partners.
- Review and approve FAM-related expenses in alignment with company expense guidelines.
Project Management:
- Oversee the full FAM program lifecycle, from planning through execution and follow-up.
- Maintain and manage multiple trackers, documents, and schedules to ensure all FAM logistics and deliverables are monitored effectively.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization within the FAM program.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Partner with regional leadership, Product, Air, Marketing, and DE Development to ensure the FAM program meets strategic business objectives.
- Support the development and rollout of new FAM formats or pilot initiatives as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the travel industry, preferably in a sales, product, or operations role.
- A self-starter with the ability to ramp up quickly on content, process, and systems, and deliver with professionalism.
- High energy, enthusiastic, and confident approach to training and communication.
- Curious mindset with strong conceptual and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new digital tools and platforms.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. Able to work independently and effectively in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and commitment to team success.
- Proven ability to build trust and influence others through strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, especially with DEs, suppliers, and senior leadership.
