Reporting to the Director, Enterprise AML Learning, the manager will be responsible for the design and development of AML learning/courses/programs in support of the Enterprise AML Learning Program. This includes the design, development, or delivery of learning solutions, curation, or review of courses, ensuring all activities adhere to learning standards and follow internal policies, procedures, and learning standards.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to support the design, development, and measurement of AML learning for a global audience while building strong relationships with key partners in various areas of Scotiabank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Design and develop learning solutions to enhance and strengthen the overall Global AML Learning Program. Contribute to the identification of the right learning strategy and learning solution to address specific learning needs and meet business objectives.
- Develop both instructor-led and self-paced AML learning (in-person and virtual), including presentation materials and facilitator guides, leveraging Global Learning standards and formats.
- Utilize various learning formats to deliver learning that is engaging and effective for a diverse global audience and ensure language and other accessibility requirements are met, i.e., microlearning and gamification.
- Consult with AML learning partners to establish learning objectives in support of the AML program and overall learning goals.
- Collaborate with the Global Learning team on the delivery and maintenance of AML learning courses within the Learning Management Systems.
- Incorporate “lessons learned” into existing courses/programs.
- Track and report on training activities to ensure program effectiveness; gather and analyze data to identify opportunities to enhance learning.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments on courses.
- Stay abreast of global best practices in instructional design.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
- University degree, certificate, or designation in Adult Learning or a related field.
- Experience in the design, development, and execution of learning solutions in a large, complex corporation.
- Experience in developing learning content for different learning styles and delivery approaches.
- Experience with authoring applications such as Articulate Rise 360, Camtasia, Vyond, animation, and gamification.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage effectively with all levels, Director level and below.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of learning measurement, metrics, and reporting.
- Results-oriented with an ability to action learning projects for results.
- Strong business acumen and understanding to be able to effectively partner with Global AML teams.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the banking industry or AML is an asset.
- Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset.
