We invite applications for a full-time opportunity as a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain mechanical and school equipment and school buildings at St. Andrew’s College and St. Anne’s School.
The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include:
· Perform minor mechanical, electrical, and carpentry repairs
· Assist with necessary boiler repairs
· Assist in the monitoring of fire systems and ensure that testing of emergency signals and replacement of damaged equipment is undertaken
· Assist in pool maintenance and repairs
· Repair and/or paint windows, doors, floors, woodwork, or other building structures
· Assist with cupboard installation, concrete, plaster, or drywall repairs
· Assist the maintenance team with requests
We seek candidates with the following credentials:
· Secondary school education
· Approximately 3 years of experience in a related plant environment
· Basic electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools
· Basic understanding of heating systems, pool operations, and construction practices
· A trade licence or experience in related fields is desirable
· Some heavy lifting and working from ladders is necessary in this role
· Ability to use a computer
· A Class G driver’s license is necessary
· AED/CPR level C and First Aid certification
· Ability to work independently
· A current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
