Macrodyne Technologies Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of large hydraulic presses, fully automated hydraulic press lines and related die handling equipment serving manufacturing companies in the automotive, aerospace, consumer, and industrial product sectors. We are currently searching for experienced Machine Builders as outlined below.
Summary
The Machine Builder machine parts and related automation both in our factory and in the field at the end user’s facility.
- Location: Concord ON - reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
- Travel Required: Canada/USA, and internationally - Have valid passport and able to travel
- Hourly Rate: Pay rated to applicants’ skill level
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm + Overtime
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Read and understand technical/schematic drawings, understand, and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Assemble machines as per specification
- Has their own set of basic tools, wrenches, power drills, impact drivers, sockets, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, enthusiasm, and eagerness to work overtime and a willingness to travel when required
- Skills in using milling machine, lathe and hydraulic assembly are also an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other technicians
- Have valid passport and able to travel
- Not have a fear of heights at 15 feet
- Performs job duties in accordance with Macrodyne’s requirements and identifies any non-conformances or possibilities for improvement
What You Bring
- This position requires individuals with 3 to 5 years’ experience with large industrial machinery manufacturing.
- Ideal candidates will be honest, cooperative, adaptive, autonomous, take responsibility for the projects they are assigned, pay attention to detail, possess a problem-solving attitude, be self-motivated, dynamic, analytical, and ready to do what it takes to get the job done
- The ability to travel domestically and internationally and to maintain composure in demanding production environments are key attributes that are required
