Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations while ensuring timely deliveries. Candidates should possess excellent driving skills and a thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is preferred for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Experience in freight handling and logistics operations is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends as needed.
- Must have 3 years log trucking drive experience
