Our Edmonton location is seeking an experienced Line Technician (Aircraft Refueler) to support our diverse airport operations. This is a full-time, temporary position with the following 4 days per week, 10 hour shift schedule. This temporary position will end in January 2026 but there is possibility of change, extension or permanent role following temporary assignment.


Sunday to Tuesday 0500-1500

and

Friday 0500 -1500


Job Description:
The Line Technician is responsible for performing all facets of fueling, ramp and cargo operations in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The Line Technician operates fueling vehicles and ground support equipment required for fueling and servicing aircraft and completes accurate documentation while working within the Company’s protocols and guidelines.


Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design and perform ramp services according to company standards, including aircraft loading/unloading, cargo and baggage services, marshalling and chocking aircraft, grooming aircraft including lavatory and potable water servicing.
  • Aircraft fuelling, movement, placement, and storage.
  • Fuel movement and Quality Control.
  • Operate various types of ground service equipment.
  • Responsible for cleaning GSE equipment, buildings, and Fuel Trucks.
  • Strict adherence to safety rules while performing all duties, including ground, ramp, and equipment use.
  • Perform audits on handling, safety, security, cargo and aircraft handling as required.
  • Determine needed supplies and equipment.
  • Back-up/support Ramp Agents as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
  • Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of aviation refuelling equipment and associated equipment is preferred.
  • Minimum Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) is required
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Radio Operator Certificate (Aeronautical).
  • First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
  • Must work in all types of weather conditions, including inclement weather.
  • Physical requirements include considerable use of your arms and legs, climbing, lifting 60lbs repeatedly, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Must work shift work, weekends, overtime and stat holidays.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to lift or move up to 60 lbs independently.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
  • A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Punctual, reliable and diligent.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
