Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting in menu planning.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure the highest quality of food service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Proven experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

- Safe Food Handling Certificate required.
