We require that you have
1-2 years experience in restaurants cooking
Most importantly a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Must be able to work 2 - 5 shifts a week and available to work mid day, evenings and weekends.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and guidelines
- Monitor food cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking and food safety
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
