Key Responsibilities
- Station Management:
- Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are presented consistently and meet quality control standards
- Take full responsibility for managing a specific section of the kitchen
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the Chef's standards and recipes.
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and other components required for the section.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored according to food safety guidelines.
- Team Collaboration:
- Maintain open communication with the Head Chef, Banquet Chef, Line Cooks, and others to ensure smooth workflow.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to (e.g., hygiene, food storage, and cleanliness).
- Follow all food safety regulations, including handling food safely and minimizing cross-contamination.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure that all ingredients, tools, and equipment for the section are stocked and available.
- Help monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or items in need of reordering.
- Time Management:
- Work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service hours.
- Maintain effective time management to ensure dishes are prepared and presented in a timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and recipe preparation.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for collaborating with other chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage a station efficiently, especially during busy periods.
Job Types: Seasonal, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

- Calgary, AB T3B 5L4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
