Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing meals, ensuring food safety, and maintaining an efficient kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards to ensure consistent quality.
- Assist in meal preparation and food handling, ensuring all dishes are prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is required.
- Food Handler Certified
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
