Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
- Participate in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with serving techniques and customer service principles is a plus
