Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious meals that meet our high standards of excellence. This position requires both teamwork and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of our guests
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience with serving or customer service is a plus
