Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations during food handling and preparation
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods
- Participate in daily prep work to ensure all ingredients are ready for service
- Follow proper portion control and minimize waste
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
