We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
